PEACE POLES
A Peace Pole is an internationally-recognized symbol of the hopes and dreams of the entire community, a standing vigil in silent prayer for peace. Each Peace Pole bears the message 'May Peace Prevail on Earth' in different languages on each of its four sides. There tens of thousands of Peace Poles in nearly every country in the world dedicated as monuments to peace.
In the STRYVE project, Peace Poles will be dedicated in each of the focus communities as part of the annual National Night Out celebration. National Night Out has been celebrated across the US during the first week of August since 1983. These events encourage community members to gather and build connections while recognizing the great work that has been done in their communities to build peace each year.
If you live near a STRYVE focus community, please join us for National Night Out!
