Deborah Kafoury is the Multnomah County Chair. She believes in the importance of empowering youth and community building as a way to stop violence. She is appreciative of the youth's dedication and commitment to stopping violence in our communities.

MAYOR HALES
Charlie Hales, the Mayor of Portland sees the importance in programs like STRYVE in order to create youth leadership. He works with people from the county on many projects, including summer internships for youth and outreach programs for gang affected youth. He's proud of the STRYVE youth and the leadership skills they show from early on.

ABDULLAH HAFEEDH
Abdullah is a Community Heath Worker for STRYVE at the Cully site. He talks about the purpose of STRYVE and the youth he interacts with at the Cully site.

Rafael has been in the STRYVE program since January and has personally seen the effect violence has played on his community in the Cully neighborhood.
